G.E. Merry Midget Light Sets

This is an early Merry Midget 35 light set that dates to the mid-1960's.
Unlike the straight line sets of today, it used two parallel strings arranged in a loop.
This design was a holdover from the C-6 sets it replaced.

This is a 35 light Merry Midget set from the early 1980's in the familiar straight line layout.
Sets from this era were typically packed in Styrofoam display trays.
Later on, this practice would be discontinued due to safety regulations requiring heavier gauge wiring.
This set was very popular with Santa's helpers.
