Each opening like a book, here are the three most commonly found pre-1940 boxes from NOMA. Both of the major forms of lighting strings-- C-6 miniature base series wired and indoor C-7 candelabra base parallel wired were offered in these containers. As will be discussed in the next category (1940-1950), NOMA continued to offer the 1939 box for many years. The copyright dates, often missed by collectors, are located on the spine of each box, in very small print.
