THE NOMA STORY
PAGE 5

ALL OF THESE OUTFITS ARE FROM NOMA, TOO!

Throughout the 38 years that NOMA Electric Corporation and NOMA Lites, Incorporated manufactured Christmas lighting sets, many were produced that are quite hard to identify as NOMA products. The unbranded "generic" outfits always have less expensive imported lamps, and may or may not have NOMA branded lighting cords included with them. One of the ways that I have been able to actually identify these sets over the years is through catalog listings in publications from large companies such as Sears, Roebuck and Company, Montgomery Wards, and Butler Brothers, to name just a few. These catalogs picture the generic outfits, but are sure to point out that the sets were actually made by NOMA, and therefore of high quality and an outstanding value. Pictured on this page are the non-branded outfits that I know through catalog listings to be NOMA products. Along with the picture, I have provided the catalog source as well. These are just some of the many NOMA products that are out there.  I suspect that as my research continues, I'll be adding to this page as more sets are identified as NOMA products.

A NOTE OF CAUTION: Many of these generic sets are packaged in box styles that were used by several different manufacturers. The collector must avoid the urge to say that all light sets using the same box art  are from the same manufacturer. Only the sets pictured on this page are known to be NOMA products. There are similar outfits out there, in boxes identical to the ones pictured here but with different brand names, that are definitely not NOMA products.
