I had an opportunity to bid on the tree shown in this 1947 ad---at an estate sale and auction many years ago. It was quite large as I recall---had been part of a closed florist shop Christmas display---- and there was a bidding war that I quickly lost interest in------since the bids were well beyond my means in the end. Still it was great to see one of these "in the wild"---and then to find this ad
