Reader Jeff says:

I really like your site and has been very helpful helping me to identify bubble lights. However, we bought a group of lights at an estate sale that we have not been able to identify on this site or on E-bay. If I get your e-mail, might I be able to send you a picture for identification?

Jeff, I've posted your photos here in case someone else can provide input.

Any takers?

Hello Jeff, those are 1935 Japan and are very scarce. To collectors they are nicknamed "Flying Saucer Lights" Value of each varies depending on condition and if it works or not but usually around 35.00 and up. Awesome find.

Those are very rare indeed and I have seen them go as high as $225/each at auction.

I found some information on these lights. They were manufactured by Paramount in 1935. They were not very popular at the time and were only manufactured one season. They were reproduced in the 1990s as light covers for C-7 lamps by Restoration Hardware.

WOW! This would be Right Place at the Right Time. I have seen the repros of the Flying Saucer Lights by Restoration Hardware on the Bay with the sellers saying they are the originals!
